What do you expect from life?

On the train this morning I was running through what I had to do today at work. I thought also about the calls I had to make outside work, the food I was going to eat, my gym workout and some songs I’ve been needing to record. You see I am really excited because I have challenged myself to achieve certain things before the end of the year. When I have felt fear, I have prayed and pushed forward to find the root of that fear and pull those sucker weeds out. Why? Because I am on a mission to live the life God has for me. The only best.

I focus on Him and who I am supposed to be in Him. Then I take a step at a time. I expect good things to happen; to excel and be and do more than I or anyone else ever expected.  Again, why? Because l love God and His way is to continually amaze us. I find that without this understanding, we can rob ourselves of the freely given joy Jesus died to give us. Yes, life is a challenge and we will get things that seem to knock the life out of us. Nevertheless trust God and expect good to happen.

Peace!

About Plantain Periodicals

Hello! Welcome to the Plantain Periodicals blogs. The name stems from the kitchen moments I had with my friends at university cooking plantain and planning our lives together. I have used this space as a window into my mind and the way I make sense of all my experiences through writing. This is where I share those conversations and moments that happen inside my head as a young woman growing up in 21st century London. Hopefully you'll be entertained and also learn a thing or two. My main blog ad: www.nissiknows.wordpress.com My literature blog: www.plantainperiodicals.wordpress.com NMx
