Here in London the days are getting longer, it is slowly getting warmer, the sun is showing itself. With the new season I get very happy. This happiness however could be superficial if I did not work on my spirit and mind to inject a new lease of life into the whole me. At church yesterday we were told of a 40-day challenge we will be starting. The challenge involves giving up a bad habit for 40 days and replacing it with something more fruitful – a better habit and prayer time. There are all these stats on how long it takes for a new habit to become a part of life. The underlying point is by replacing the bad with the good continously for a period of time, it will become part of you.
I am really excited to start the challenge because I turn 25 approximately 6 weeks from now. Amazing right?!? In readiness of my quarter of a century birthday, I want to become more in sync with God, better disciplined and really using every opportunity to show who God is and to do so passionately. The 40 day challenge starts in a week and leading up to that I am studying vision. I am finding out what God says about purpose so that my mind is right and renewed daily for the inevitable struggle I will have letting go of my old ways.
No better time better than spring or the present to change 🙂
